The National World War II Museum, located in New Orleans, Louisiana has been collecting oral histories since the museum opened in 2000 (as the D-Day Museum).  The museum has an extensive Oral History department employing several professional historians trained in the latest Oral History methodologies.  The museum  and serves as a major repository for oral histories of WWII Veterans.
