Soldiers’ Memoirs
Memoirs are another example of how the men who served during World War II documented their personal experiences after serving as part of the 103rd Infantry Division. In contrast to diaries recorded during or immediately following the end of the war, these memoirs were written by soldiers who wanted to record their wartime experiences while they were members of the 103rd Cactus Division World War II Association. While not recorded during or immediately after the war (like a journal or diary would be), these memoirs highlight the experiences that individual soldiers recalled and remembered long after the war ended.
